IT´S CHRISTMAS!!

Christmas. The staff is excited, the students are excited, basically, everyone is full of excitement here at Colegio Alkor!

We´re decking the halls with boughs of jolly.

 

 

Well, we´re decking the halls with science of course!

For example, on this ornament we have material from the 3˚ESO Biology class. Even though this Christmas bulb is in Spanish, the class is part of the Centros Bilingües Cooperativos (CBC) program.

In this class, the students have the marvelous opportunity to work with one of our phenomenal UCETAM English language assistants, Karla. With her, the students practice their English skills while also learning biology at the same time. So, if you have the opportunity to ask one of these students what the answer to this question is, don´t be surprised if they respond to you in English.

¡¡Es Navidad!!  El personal está entusiasmado, los estudiantes están entusiasmados… Todos estamos emocionados aquí en el Colegio Alkor!

Estamos adornando los pasillos con Ciencia, por supuesto. Por ejemplo, tenemos material de Biología de 3˚ESO. Aunque la bombilla de Navidad es en español, la clase es parte del programa Centros Bilingües Cooperativos (CBC).

En esta asignatura, los estudiantes tienen la maravillosa oportunidad de trabajar con una de nuestras fenomenales asistentes de lengua inglesa de UCETAM, Karla. Con ella, los estudiantes practican sus habilidades de inglés mientras aprenden Biología al mismo tiempo. Por lo tanto, si tiene la oportunidad de preguntar a uno de estos estudiantes cuál es la respuesta a esta pregunta, no se sorprenda si le responden en inglés. ¡Estamos rockeando alrededor del árbol de Navidad aquí!
