El día de San Valentín ha sido tradicionalmente considerado el día del amor para la mayoría de la gente. Sin embargo en algunos países este día tiene más importancia e incluso celebran el día del amor, no solo de pareja, sino el amor entre amigos y familiares.
En el Colegio Alkor celebramos ese día dando importancia a nuestros amigos. Por esta razón, este año nuestros alumnos escribieron cartas a sus compañeros de clase diciéndoles porque les consideran importantes y que valoran de ellos.
Nuestros profesores nativos, en la asignatura de Cultura Americana, explicaron la historia de este día y como se celebra en su país.

Los alumnos se sintieron muy contentos al recibir estas cartas de amistad diciéndoles sus mejores cualidades.
Resultó ser una buena actividad para trabajar la empatía y valores en los alumnos.
Saint Valentine’s Day has been traditionally considered the day of love for most people. However there are countries where this day has more importance and it is also considered the day of love not only for couples, but also to express love to your friends and relatives.
At Alkor we celebrated this day by giving importance to our friends and classmates. For that reason, our students wrote letters in which they told each other why they are important and special.
The language assistants, in the subject “American Culture” explained the history of Valentine´s day and how it is celebrated in their home countries.
The language assistants, in the subject “American Culture” explained the history of Valentine´s day and how it is celebrated in their home countries. We also decorated the school with big hearts filled with words related to this day. These hearts were put on the classes’ doors.
Children felt very happy because they received friendship letters telling them their best qualities.
It was a great activity to work empathy and good values.
